What do I do if I lose a key?
Most Gazelle city bikes come standard with a high quality wheel lock. When engaged, this lock stops the rear wheel spinning. Coupled with a conventional chain lock, this system provides maximum security for your Gazelle. Gazelle uses the best quality Dutch brand called AXA for its locks.
It is very important to write the key number down when you buy your Gazelle. If you lose both keys and have not written down the key number we can't help you. Write the key number down in the manual and as soon as you lose a key, order a new replacement.
Two cycle keys are always supplied when a new bicycle or cycle lock is purchased. Convenient if you should ever lose a key. When a key is lost it is advisable to directly order another key from AXA.
Here are a number of practical tips that you should take into account:
Tip 1: After purchase, always make a note of your key number! You can then always order a new key if you lose them both. It is not possible to order a new key without the key number! Unfortunately without a key number we cannot help you.
Tip 2: You will find the key number on the spare key.
Tip 3: Order a new key a soon as you lose the first one! Always have at least 2 keys.
The key you have ordered will be made and sent to you within 5 working days. The keys are sent from Holland so allow for at least a couple of weeks for postage.

- Enter your key number.
- Choose the required type of key (it is possible to choose from various types of keys for some locks)
- Fill in your name and address.
- Control field with the details you have filled in.
- Choose your method of payment (single standing order, credit card or by iDEAL internet banking via your own bank, The payment options can differ per country)

When you have finished ordering you will receive an order confirmation containing your unique order number automatically by email (if you have entered your email address) and/or you can print it out. We advise you to keep your unique order number safely as a reference. The order confirmation by e-mail or print out can also be required by your insurance company.
The prices stated are inclusive VAT, but do not include handling costs (handling, processing and postage costs). These costs depend on the number of keys you order (max. 2) and the country of destination.
